Melissa Miagany,
Membership Chair

My name is Melissa Miagany and I have been married to my Marine for 20 years. Within that time I have accumulated a lot of experience through holding various positions in 11 different spouses’ clubs.  I was married on Nov. 10th 1996, and  on the very next day I boarded a plane headed for Okinawa.  I had no idea what I was in for, but ready for the adventure.  Not knowing a soul, I ventured out to make some friends at my very first spouses' event, and from then on I found my way.  Some of the positions I have held include Recording Secretary, Hospitality Chairperson, Ways and Means Chairperson, Parliamentarian, Field Trip Coordinator, Charitable Contributions and Scholarship Chairperson, 2nd Vice President, and most recently before PCSing to Naples, Vice President of The Marine Officers’ Spouses’ Club of Washington DC.  My husband Ric and I have been enjoying Italy with our two kids, Zane and Gabriela for the last year.  Now that I’m settled in, I’m excited to be a part of NOSC and looking forward to a great year filled with new friends and wonderful adventures.
